How to Download and Install Op-com Advanced Software for Opel/Vauxhall Cars
Op-com Advanced is a diagnostic software package for Opel/Vauxhall cars that covers a wide range of models from 1987 to 2021. It allows you to read and clear fault codes, display live data, perform output tests, program immobiliser, remote and key fob, change variant coding of various control units, and much more. Op-com Advanced supports a wide range of control units built into cars, such as Engine, Transmission, ABS/ESP, Airbag, Instrument, Radio, Display, etc. It requires a USB-based diagnostic interface that works under 32 and 64 bits versions of Windows.

Step 1: Download Op-com Advanced Software
The latest version of Op-com Advanced software is 200603a, which supports vehicle diagnostics until 2021. It requires Op-com interface with board version V5 and correct PIC18F458 chip to work. You can download the software from the following link:
The download link is a torrent file, so you will need a torrent client such as uTorrent or BitTorrent to download it. The file size is about 156 MB. The download package contains the following files:

The software does not require activation or installation. You can run it directly from the extracted folder.
Step 2: Install Op-com Advanced Drivers
Before you can use the software, you need to install the drivers for your Op-com interface. To do this, follow these steps:
Plug in your Op-com interface to your computer via USB cable.
Open Device Manager on your computer.
Find Op-com USB V2 device under Ports (COM & LPT) category.
Right-click on the device and select Update driver.
Select Browse my computer for driver software option.
Locate the extracted folder from Step 1 and select the drivers 32 & 64 bit subfolder.
Click Next and follow the instructions to install the drivers.
You may see a warning message that the driver is not digitally signed. Click Install anyway to continue.
You may also see a serial driver with no drivers. This is normal and can be ignored.
After installing the drivers, you should see a message that the device is ready to use.
Step 3: Flash Op-com Advanced Firmware
The next step is to flash the firmware on your Op-com interface. This is necessary to make sure that your interface has the correct firmware version that matches the software version. The maximum official firmware version is 1.67 on the latest 200603a software version.
To flash the firmware, follow these steps:
Run OCFlash.exe from the extracted folder (Right-click, Run as administrator).
Select your interface type (V5) and firmware version (1.67).
Select your COM port number (the same as in Device Manager).
Click Flash button and wait for the process to complete.
You may see a message that the firmware update was successful.
Warning: Flashing the firmware may have risk if you do not have a good Op-com interface with real PIC18F458 chip. It may damage your interface if you use a fake or incorrect firmware. We are not responsible for any broken interfaces that do not have genuine PIC18F458-I/PT chip. Step 4: Run Op-com Advanced Software
Now you are ready to run the Op-com Advanced software and connect to your car. To do this, follow these steps:
Run OP-COM_200603a_EN_Pro_v20830_Free4All.exe from the extracted folder (Right-click, Run as administrator).
Click Settings button and select your interface type (V5) and COM port number.
Click Test Interface button to check the communication between your interface and software. You should see a message that the test ended successfully.
Click Save button and close the Settings window.
Select your car model and year from the drop-down menus.
Select the control unit that you want to diagnose from the list.
Click Connect button and wait for the software to establish connection with your car.
You can now perform various functions such as reading and clearing fault codes, displaying live data, performing output tests, programming immobiliser, remote and key fob, changing variant coding of various control units, etc.
